Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory.
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education on medications, diet, and preventative care.
- Coordinate lab tests and schedule follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs as needed.
