Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across diverse patient populations
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with nursing and lab teams for seamless workflow
- Inventory management of supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Phlebotomy Technician license required
- ASCP or NHA certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
