Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Conduct patient intakes, take vitals, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with exams and basic procedures.
- Admin Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, verify insurance, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Communication: Clearly explain treatment plans and instructions to patients in a friendly, professional manner.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hygiene protocols and safety standards to ensure a sterile environment.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock exam rooms and medical supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or MA certification required.
- Licensure: Valid AZ Medical Assistant license.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred; fresh graduates with externships welcome.
- Skills: Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., AthenaHealth, Epic).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact empathetically with diverse patient populations.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time hours, including occasional weekends.
