Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient examinations, injections, and wound care
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems (EPIC experience preferred)
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision and patient empathy
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management to optimize clinical efficiency
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in medical terminology and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
