Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and obtain accurate medical histories and vitals.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, sterilize instruments, and maintain exam rooms.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws (phlebotomy).
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and update patient charts with current information.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed personnel.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and triage patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records software.
