Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed staff, including vital signs monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
- Assist physicians and nurses in performing procedures and examinations to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Document patient medical records accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any immediate concerns to the nursing supervisor or charge nurse.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required within 6 months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and promote wellness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a rotating shift schedule.
- Proficiency in computer applications and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
