- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials with systematic resolution strategies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing documentation standards
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options
- Utilize Epic EMR system for charge entry and account reconciliation
- Analyze aging reports and resolve account discrepancies within 30-day cycles
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in outpatient or specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA compliance and billing regulations
- Expertise in Epic EMR or comparable practice management systems
- Strong analytical skills for claim denial resolution and account management
