Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Follow up on denied/rejected claims with appropriate appeals
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial)
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
