- Process and submit clean medical claims to insurance payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service
- Follow up on denied/rejected claims with corrective resubmission
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with providers and insurance representatives
- Analyze aging reports to identify outstanding balances
Qualifications
- 2+ years medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High typing speed (60+ WPM) and 10-key proficiency
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
