Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify orders with pharmacists
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and expiration tracking
- Process insurance claims and handle third-party billing efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise patient records and confidential health information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere strictly to federal, state, and company regulations and policies
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications, dosages, and interactions
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
