Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries about medications
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA privacy standards
- Assist with prescription packaging and labeling with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy technician experience in retail or clinical setting
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex medication information clearly
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; PTCB certification preferred
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
