Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical instruments and equipment for 15+ daily procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage surgical inventory and sterilization processes per OSHA standards
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records system
- Maintain operating room equipment and troubleshoot basic malfunctions
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent scrub experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification and current state license
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards and infection control protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Preferred experience with robotic surgical systems
