Responsibilities
- Process and verify prescriptions accurately to ensure patient safety.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular stock counts.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Verify insurance information and process claims efficiently.
- Prepare and package medications for delivery or pickup.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
- Assist in compounding and preparing specialized formulations when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software.
