Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Provide urgent medical guidance and prioritize patient care based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Educate patients on appropriate care resources and preventive health measures
- Manage high-pressure situations with exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada with minimum 3 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional assessment skills with ability to recognize subtle clinical changes
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation techniques
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
