Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately receive, process, and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Patient Interaction: Provide friendly and accurate information regarding prescriptions and medication questions to patients.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming shipments, and maintain an organized pharmacy storage area.
- Quality Control: Verify patient data, dosage calculations, and labeling accuracy to ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in maintaining records and ensuring all pharmacy operations adhere to state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred; must hold a valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license.
- Experience: Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent mathematical skills, and proficiency with pharmacy software systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
