Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and label specimens following strict HIPAA and OSHA protocols
- Verify patient identification and maintain detailed electronic records
- Calibrate equipment and maintain sterile collection environments
- Provide patient education on procedures and sample preparation
- Collaborate with lab teams to ensure timely specimen transport
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in phlebotomy
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
