Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Document all procedures in EHR systems
- Collaborate with lab and clinical teams
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/ASPT preferred)
- 6+ months of clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent venipuncture skills with pediatric and geriatric patients
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Arizona driver's license
