Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units with precision and compassion
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with meticulous documentation
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and electronic health record accuracy
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety audits
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (RN license required)
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification with willingness to obtain ACLS
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Spanish bilingual preferred
