Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and apply critical thinking to resolve complex clinical situations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards (HIPAA, OSHA).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates welcome to apply).
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to rotate shifts and cover weekends as needed.
