As a key member of our sterile processing team, you'll ensure seamless surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and infection control. Our facility features advanced robotic surgery capabilities and specializes in orthopedic and general procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and equipment for all procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Perform strict sterile processing and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Document all surgical counts and equipment usage per protocol
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with equipment troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, AORN, and hospital safety standards
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams for coordinated patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent scrub experience in surgical services
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy
- Exceptional attention to detail and infection control protocols
