Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precise instrument passing and sponge counting
- Maintain sterile environments in compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Operate advanced surgical equipment including endoscopic and robotic systems
- Manage inventory and sterilization processes for 20+ ORs
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless case turnover
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent scrub experience in Level 1 trauma center
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery specialties
- BLS certification with current CPR training
- Ability to work 24-32 hours/week across day/evening/weekend shifts
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
