Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for 15+ procedures weekly
- Assist surgeons during operations with precise instrument passing and wound retraction
- Maintain strict aseptic protocols and sterilization standards per OSHA guidelines
- Manage inventory and restock operating room supplies between cases
- Document procedural data accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1-year OR experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and crisis management skills
