Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures by arranging sterile instruments and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and holding retractors, anticipating their needs.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection control protocols at all times.
- Monitor and prepare patients for surgery, ensuring proper positioning and safety.
- Handle and process specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Assist in the recovery room by monitoring patient stability and documenting care.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from a recognized accrediting body.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
