Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and functioning correctly.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and providing necessary support.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and sterile processing protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff or surgeon immediately.
- Manage and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to prevent shortages.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
