Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and monitor equipment functionality
- Handle specimen collection and processing protocols
- Implement safety standards and infection control measures
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ST79)
