Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for coordinated patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent scrub experience in general surgery
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AORN guidelines)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
