Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, medications administered, and clinical outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Adhere to all Joint Commission standards and facility-specific policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (or eligible for compact state licensure).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules and departmental needs.
