Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop comprehensive care plans based on medical history and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and disease management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patient care.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred for units serving pediatric populations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Willingness to travel to various facilities within the San Antonio metro area.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a patient-first attitude.
