Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Monitor and remind clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move around the home safely, including transferring from bed to wheelchair.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Communication: Keep families and supervisors informed about the client's condition and any changes in behavior.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or PCA is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, caring demeanor.
- License: Current state certification (CNA/PCA) is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
