Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage using clinical judgment and established protocols
- Prioritize cases based on urgency and escalate critical situations appropriately
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems
- Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients on home care instructions and preventive measures
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with on-site providers for seamless patient transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (TN)
- Minimum 2 years acute care or emergency nursing experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Proficient in telephone triage protocols and EMR documentation
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
