- Assess patient symptoms via phone or in-person to determine medical urgency
- Prioritize cases using standardized triage protocols and clinical judgment
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during stressful situations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate appropriate care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing skill development and team huddles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active Florida nursing license (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided)
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
- Strong computer literacy for EMR systems
- No prior nursing experience required - we train you!
