Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments to determine patient urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide evidence-based clinical guidance and education to patients regarding symptoms and treatment options
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining compassionate, efficient communication
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Current Georgia RN license with unrestricted active status
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in ER, urgent care, or telephone triage
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated empathy
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings
