Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and telehealth triage using clinical protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and prioritize patient acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters meticulously in EMR systems
- Manage patient flow and communicate critical updates to care teams
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care
- ACLS/BLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
- Spanish fluency a plus for serving diverse populations
