Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and digital triage assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and medical history.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and recommend appropriate treatment plans or home care strategies.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care instructions accurately into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Escalate critical or life-threatening cases to emergency services immediately.
- Educate patients on preventative health, medication usage, and wellness resources.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for prior triage, urgent care, or telehealth experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound clinical judgments under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient education.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of incoming calls.
