Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide precise clinical guidance via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate seamless patient transitions across care settings
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Develop patient education materials for post-visit care instructions and follow-up plans
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
- Respond effectively to high-acuity situations and mass casualty incident protocols
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 3 years emergency or urgent care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in telephone triage systems (TriageLogic, ESI protocols)
- Exceptional critical thinking and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work rotating weekends and evening shifts (24-32 hours/week)
