Responsibilities
- Provide personalized care including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping
- Assist with mobility transfers, bathing, and personal hygiene with dignity and respect
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities using personal vehicle
- Monitor and document vital signs, health changes, and client preferences
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and recreational activities
- Adhere to care plans and maintain accurate daily logs
- Respond promptly to emergency situations following protocol
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or equivalent training
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear TB test and background check required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Strong communication skills and empathy for seniors
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Fluent English communication skills
