Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Provide accurate clinical guidance and discharge instructions per established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Manage high-volume call centers during peak hours with exceptional efficiency
- Identify and escalate critical cases to ensure timely intervention
- Educate patients on appropriate care settings (ER, urgent care, primary care)
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and in high-pressure environments
