Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments via phone and telehealth triage systems
- Accurately prioritize patient cases using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Document clinical encounters with precision in Epic EMR
- Educate patients on home care and when to seek immediate attention
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-stress situations
- Experience with ESI triage scale and telehealth platforms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
