Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Symptoms: Evaluate patient health concerns via phone, email, or digital platform to determine the appropriate level of care required.
- Provide Clinical Guidance: Offer medical advice, triage instructions, and recommendations for treatment or self-care.
- Coordinate Care: Facilitate referrals to physicians, specialists, or urgent care facilities when necessary.
- Document Interactions: Accurately record patient assessments, instructions, and follow-up plans in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on preventative health measures and medication management.
- Support Operations: Assist in maintaining call center standards and ensuring timely response times to patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage, urgent care, or call center setting.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
