Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to physician orders.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure billing accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions regarding medications and store policies.
- Assist in compounding medications when required and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Handle cash transactions and manage the point-of-sale system efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to sit for the PTCB or ExCPT exam.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy registration.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and dosage forms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
