Responsibilities
- Verify and process prescription requests for patients accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and package medications, including labeling and safety checks.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide basic health education.
- Process insurance claims and handle reimbursements with precision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or currently registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (optional but helpful).
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and computer systems.
