Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and verifying drug shipments to ensure availability.
- Assist pharmacists with the compounding and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and explaining medication usage and side effects.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and company policies.
- Process insurance claims, handle prescription transfers, and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Valid Texas driver's license (optional for office-based roles).
