Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications per prescription orders
- Manage inventory control and stock rotation systems
- Process insurance claims and assist with billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on patient care protocols
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and order processing
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and math skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Basic knowledge of FDA medication regulations
- Valid state pharmacy technician license
