Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosage instructions
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure regulatory compliance
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing software
- Maintain sterile compounding areas and equipment
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and math skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
