Responsibilities
- Medication Preparation: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock medications, and manage expiration dates to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Order Verification: Verify patient information, doctor’s orders, and insurance data to prevent errors.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients and healthcare providers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispensed medications and transactions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
