Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while verifying dosages and interactions
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular audits
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain precise electronic health records and pharmacy documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize workflow and patient safety protocols
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance and pharmacy regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- 1+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
