Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information for billing accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and pharmacy board regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures (a plus)
