Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing technology and pharmacy software
- Assist with compounding and sterile preparations when required
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Louisiana
- Minimum 1-year pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Valid Louisiana state pharmacy technician license
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
