Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including stock rotation and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations (HIPAA, DEA)
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures when required
- Assist with front-end pharmacy operations including cashier duties
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic understanding of sterile compounding procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
