Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory and ensure medication availability
- Process insurance claims and patient billing efficiently
- Maintain sterile compounding areas per FDA standards
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Utilize pharmacy software (eRx, QS/1) for order processing
- Collaborate with healthcare team for patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail with zero-error medication handling
- High school diploma or equivalent required
